WD2000: Unexpected Line Break with ADVANCE Field and Tab Stop (279504)

This article was previously published under Q279504 SYMPTOMS When you insert an ADVANCE field after a word, press the
TAB key, and then type additional text, the word and the text following the
field are moved to a new line. CAUSE This behavior occurs when both of the following conditions
are true:
- The horizontal position that is indicated in the ADVANCE
field is in the text that precedes the field.
- The text that follows the field wraps to a new
line.
RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the

following file attributes or later:
