XCON: SMTP Connector May Never Be Down When All of the Source Bridgehead Servers Are Down (279495)

When an Exchange 2000 SMTP Connector is configured to use Domain Name System (DNS) for routing, the SMTP Connector may never be down when all of the source bridgehead servers are down.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the SMTP Connector is not designed to be down if it is configured to use DNS for routing, even when all of the source bridgehead servers are down.
