OL98: The Group By Follow Up Flag View Displays Two None Groups (279327)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 98

This article was previously published under Q279327

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Group by Follow Up Flag view for your messages or contact items by clicking the View menu, pointing to Current View, clicking Customize Current View, clicking Group By, and then clicking Follow Up Flag in the Group by items box in Outlook, two groups of "none" may be displayed.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the two groups are a result of messages that have never had a flag set and messages that have had a flag set and then cleared. Outlook separates these into separate "none" groups.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98.
