SYMPTOMS

When your Macintosh computer is set up to use English (Australia) locale settings, and you try to access the Thesaurus feature in Word 2001 for Mac by clicking Thesaurus on the Tools menu, no dialog box or message appears.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and install the Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac Security Update (9.0.5). To download the update, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx?pid=download&location=/mac/download/office2001/update_905.xml&secid=10&ssid=25&flgnosysreq=True

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac Service Release 1.
