BUG: Cancel Button in DTS Package Designer Save Dialog Box Exits Form Without Saving (279159)

SYMPTOMS

In the Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Designer, when you create a new package and then click the Close button, you are asked whether you want to save the changes. If you click Yes, a dialog box is displayed with OK, Cancel, and Help buttons. If you click Cancel, the form is closed without being saved.

WORKAROUND

To return to editing a package after you have clicked Yes to save, you must click OK to save the package. You can then edit the package again from Enterprise Manager.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 2000.
