Group Policy for Folder Redirection does not return the Application Data folder to its default location when you have "No Administrative Policy Specified" defined under the Group Policy.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, use either of the following methods.Method 1Reestablish the policy, but use a path of "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data". This will cause clients to redirect to the local profile.
Method 2Create two separate policies, one to redirect the My Documents folder, and the other to redirect the Application Data folder. In doing so, you can remove users from a group while still allowing the redirection of the necessary folders.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when the information becomes available.
