Event ID 7022 After Installing Sybase PowerDynamo 3.0 (278959)

SYMPTOMS

When you start your computer, the following services may not start and may record event ID 7022 messages in the System log:

FTP Publishing service
Network News Transport Protocol (NNTP)
Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP)
World Wide Web Publishing service

The entries in the System log in Event Viewer are similar to:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7022
Description:
The World Wide Web Publishing Service service hung on starting.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you do not stop the World Wide Web Publish service and other associated services before you install Sybase PowerDynamo 3.0.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, uninstall PowerDynamo and then restart the computer. Disable the services that are listed earlier in this article, and then reinstall PowerDynamo. After you reinstall PowerDynamo, restart the computer and enable the services that you disabled.
