XADM: Error 0xC00700C Occurs During Exchange 2000 Setup (278879)

When you attempt to configure the Information Store Service (IIS) during Exchange 2000 Server Setup, Setup may stop, and you may receive the following error message:
Setup failed while installing sub-component Information Store Service with error code 0xC00700C1 (please consult the installation logs for a detailed description).
The following events may be reported in the Setup log:

CAUSE
When Setup attempts to launch the following process:
E:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Bin\Exschema.exe /regserver
the operating system finds a file named E:\Program (without an extension).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove the file or directory called E:\Program.
