Provisioning Mobile Users Does Not Format Phone Numbers (278843)

When you provision new users of Mobile Information Server for wireless mobility, and specify the device and phone number for that individual in Active Directory Users and Computers, the phone number is not formatted as you expected.
WORKAROUND
Manually add any formatting to the phone number to allow it to be displayed in a standardized format such as +1(222)123-4567.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
