SYMPTOMS

When you are using Orchestration Designer to edit a script component binding in an existing Orchestration Schedule, you may receive one or both of the following error messages:

-or-

BizTalk Orchestration Designer
The Windows Script component is invalid. You must select a valid script component before you can continue.
NOTE: These errors may occur multiple times during the Script Binding Wizard. Also, the specific text of the VBScript error may be different, depending on your code.

CAUSE

The script component has been edited since the Orchestration Schedule was originally created and now contains one or more syntax errors.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, correct the syntax errors in the script component.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft BizTalk Server 1.0.

MORE INFORMATION

The reason Orchestration Designer provides multiple error messages is that it checks for the script component on multiple pages of the Wizard.
