No Global Groups Are Available Creating File-Share Resource Permissions in Cluster Administrator (278710)

SYMPTOMS

When you create a new file-share resource in Cluster Administrator and assign access permissions, the following objects are available:

Users
Domain local groups
Universal groups

However, no global groups are available, no matter which domain you select.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Hotfix Information

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
