OL97: The Unread Property Does Not Run the PropertyChange Event (278687)

SYMPTOMS

If you use the PropertyChange event in an Outlook solution, the event procedure does not run when the UnRead property is changed.

WORKAROUND

Depending on your Outlook solution, you can workaround this problem by implementing the Read event to determine when an item is actually read.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
