Error Message When You Try to Connect to a Terminal Server Computer (278666)

When you attempt to connect to the console session of a Terminal Server either by using the console switch with Mstsc.exe or the Terminal Services Connections snap-in, you may receive the following error message:
Logon Message
You do not have access to logon to this Session.
If you attempt to connect to the Terminal Server without specifying the console session, the connection works.
MORE INFORMATION
You may receive this error message if a user does not have the "Log on locally" right granted. Typical Terminal Services connections requires only that users have the "Allow logon through Terminal Services" right granted. Terminal Services connections to the console of a Terminal Server require that a user have both the "Log on locally" right and the "Allow logon through Terminal Services" right granted.
NOTE: This policy can be changed by opening Local Security Settings from the Administrative Tools Programs menu. Found under Local Policies/User Right Assignments.
