Diskperf.exe May Hang with 8-Character Entry in the Registry Filter List (278662)

Diskperf.exe may stop responding (hang) if both of the following conditions exist:
- There are filter drivers on the disk class registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\UpperFilters) that have 8-character names (the same length as the name "diskperf").
- One of these names is located before the "diskperf" filter name in the filter list.
CAUSE
This behavior is caused by a problem in Diskperf.exe that causes the program to enter an infinite loop.
