With the installation of Microsoft Application Center 2000 on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, network load balancing (NLB) is enabled as an optional service. This service was previously only available on Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server.
