ENT2001: Hyperlinks in the Notes Field Do Not Start Your Browser (278608)

SYMPTOMS

If you click a hyperlink in the Notes field of an Entourage item, the default browser on your Apple Macintosh does not start. This behavior occurs even if the hyperlink text is blue and underlined.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the information in the Notes field of a Calendar, Notes or Task item is in draft text. The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is not active in text areas that you cannot edit. A URL is active in the Preview Pane of received messages and in open messages.

This behavior is by design.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, press the COMMAND (Apple) key while you click the URL.
