FIX: Stack Dumps May Be Incorrect or Incomplete When UMS Runs in Fiber Mode (278369)

SYMPTOMS

When SQL Server is configured with "lightweight pooling" set to 1 (UMS fiber mode), the stacks that are generated from SQL Server may be incomplete or incorrect.

WORKAROUND

To obtain the most accurate stack dumps, configure "lightweight pooling" to 0.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 3 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
