  2. Move the shortcut you created in step 1 to the Startup folder:
    1. Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
    2. In the Look in box, click Local Hard Drives, type startup in the Search for files or folders named box, and then click Search Now.
    3. Right-click the shortcut you created in step 1, click Cut, right-click the Startup folder you located in the preceding step, and then click Paste.
  3. Disable the default Start Windows sound:
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Sounds and Multimedia.
    2. Click Start Windows, and then click None in the Name box.
    3. Click OK.
