Microsoft Links, you may receive the following error message:
A connection could not be made to the Internet. Please
check your Internet connection and try again. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method for your
Internet connection: Microsoft Windows Dial-Up Networking (DUN) Connection Make sure that you select the Always dial my default
connection option on the Connection or
Connections tab in the Internet Options tool in Control Panel.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
- Double-click Internet Options.
- Click the Connections tab.
- Click Always dial my default connection,
and then click OK.
Third-Party Dial-Up Connection If you use third-party software, such as America Online or
NetZero, to connect to the Internet, connect to the Internet manually before
you start the game. If Links is already running, minimize the game
to the Windows taskbar, use your Internet software to connect to the Internet,
and then click the Links button on the taskbar to return to
