XADM: Error Message Occurs When Configuring a New System Attendant Resource on a Cluster (278244)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to configure a new system attendant resource on a Microsoft Windows 2000 cluster, you may receive the following error message:
You must specify only one network resource in the dependency list.
ID number c1037F38
Microsoft Exchange Cluster Administrator extension.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if dependencies exist which may interfere with Setup. Dependencies on the network name resource (which has a dependency on the IP address) are the only dependencies that are required before you configure the system attendant resource.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove resource dependencies from the physical disk resource, and remove all other inappropriate dependencies.
