The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2002

This article was previously published under Q278176

SYMPTOMS

If a contact has multiple e-mail addresses and you use one to send a message, the AutoComplete cache automatically resolves to that address and does not provide you with a list of the available addresses for the contact when you type that contacts name in the To box.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when Outlook adds an e-mail address for a contact into the AutoComplete cache and does not verify if the contact has other e-mail addresses.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
