OL2002: Outlook Icon for Selected Folder Appears with Black Background (278148)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Outlook 2002 on a Windows 98-based computer that has display settings set to 256 colors, the Outlook icon that shows what folder is selected has a black background. This behavior occurs when the computer is equipped with an ATI Rage Pro video card and you enable hardware acceleration.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, disable hardware acceleration for the ATI Rage Pro video card.
