SUMMARY

The following Microsoft Windows 2000 Resource Kit tools are not supported with the Windows 2000 Terminal Services Advanced Client:
  • File Copy (Rdpclip.exe). This tool allows the cutting and pasting of files between a Terminal Services session and the Terminal Services client computer.
  • Drive Share (Drmapsrv.exe). This tool allows the redirection of drives in a Terminal Services session and on the Terminal Server client computer.

If you require these features, you may need to use a third-party tool.

Microsoft does not provide any support for these Resource Kit extensions and their use with the Terminal Services Advanced Client. NOTE: These utilities do not work with version 5.1 of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client, which is included with Microsoft Windows XP.
