OL2002: Rules Wizard Condition 'On This Machine Only' Does Not Have Corresponding Exception (278089)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use the Rules Wizard to create a rule for a profile in Outlook 2002, and you select the new condition On This Machine Only, there is no corresponding exception.

CAUSE

This issue can occur because, unless you use this rule parameter, all rules are active no matter what computer you use for mail access.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
