OL2002: The E-mail and Fax Notations Are Missing from the Contacts List (277981)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2002

This article was previously published under Q277981

SYMPTOMS

After you click the To button in an Outlook item, your list of contacts are displayed in the Select Names dialog box, but the "E-mail" and "Fax" notations that appeared next to the contact names in previous versions of Outlook are not present.

RESOLUTION

The Select Names dialog box now contains adjustable columns in your contacts lists. To resolve this behavior and see the e-mail addresses of your contacts, you can scroll the Select Names dialog box to the right until you see the column, and then adjust the width of the Name column so that the E-mail column is displayed. To do this:
  1. In the Select Names dialog box, scroll to the right until you locate the divider between columns.
  2. Place your pointer over the divider until the pointer changes to a black line with two arrows that point in opposite directions.
  3. Click and drag the column divider to the left until it is where you want it.
  4. Release the mouse button.
