PRJ2000: You Receive an Error Message When You Navigate Away from the Microsoft Project Central Home Page (277913)

If you use the Browser Module for Microsoft Project 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1), and if the following conditions are true
  • You log on to Microsoft Project Central.
    -and-
  • You try to browse away from your home page.
you may receive the following error message:
Web server cannot be reached
The Microsoft Project Central web server you specified cannot be reached by this application

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you try to use Microsoft Project Central on a computer that has Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 installed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, log on to Microsoft Project Central by using Internet Explorer 5.5, instead of using the Browser Module that is for Microsoft Project 2000.

MORE INFORMATION

The Browser Module that is for Microsoft Project 2000 SR-1 is only required for users who do not have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later installed.
