SUMMARY

Emulex LP8000/LP850 64-bit PCI Fibre Channel adapters, with older firmware, may have problems under heavy IO load. Many OEM vendors (including Data General, Compaq and EMC) use these Fibre Channel adapters to connect to tape libraries and large disk storage systems. Firmware versions beginning with 3.03x10, 3.20x4 and beyond do not have this issue.
