- Microsoft Mobile Information 2001 Server
This article was previously published under Q277838 SYMPTOMS
When you uninstall Mobile Information 2001 Server from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, the following users and groups are left in Active Directory:
- User = ENTEVENTSOURCE
- User = HTTPConnector
- Group = Microsoft Mobility Admins
- Group = Message Connectors
- Group = Message Processors
There is no option to remove these users and groups during an uninstall procedure.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, manually delete these users and groups in Active Directory Users and Computers.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
MORE INFORMATION
The users and groups that are listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article are not removed during an uninstall procedure because other Mobile Information 2001 Server installations may need these accounts in place. In addition, administrators may be using these accounts for other activities and may not want these accounts removed.
