ENT2001: Error -2804 When You Attempt to Configure the HotSync Conduit (277714)

SYMPTOMS

When you configure the Palm conduit that is supplied with the Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac Value Pack to synchronize a Palm device to share data with Entourage, you receive the following error message:
A program error has occurred -2804

CAUSE

The conduit that is supplied with Outlook Express 5.0 is in the Conduits folder.

RESOLUTION

Move the Outlook Express conduit to the Disabled Conduits folder. This folder is located within the Palm folder on your hard drive. The standard installation path for this folder is:

Drive:Palm

To move the Outlook Express conduit to the Disabled Conduits folder:
  1. Double-click the Palm folder.
  2. Double-click the Conduits folder, and then position the window so it is next to the Palm folder.
  3. In the Conduits folder, locate the OEConduit file, and then drag it to the Disabled Conduits folder.
After you remove the older conduit file, you can complete the configuration of the Entourage conduit.
