PRB: Unable to Publish (Refresh) Advertising and Discount Campaigns (277323)

When you create a campaign in the shipped solution sites (Blank.pup, Retail.pup, and SupplierActiveDirectory.pup), the campaign must be published to take effect. There are situations when you cannot publish a campaign after you add an Ad item to it, because there are no advertising or discount rows displayed in the Business Desk.
CAUSE
When the campaigns in the Retail and SupplierAD sites are cached, the cache is not loaded until the site has been accessed.
You must access the site at least once before any caches appear in the list, because the caches are created in the site's Global.asa file.
The Blank site does not include the code that creates the campaign caches. Therefore, you must provide the necessary code to create the campaign cache.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, access the Web site by using the browser, and then refresh the Business Desk. You should then be able to publish the campaign.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000.
