SUMMARY

When you transfer a message from Exchange Server to another user on Novell GroupWise, you must modify certain characters for the transfer to be successful. This articles explains which characters have to be modified.

Certain characters must be changed before sending messages to GroupWise. These characters (and their replacements) are:

comma (,)period (.)Commas are used to separate a list of recipients.
semicolon (;)colon (:)Semicolons are used to mark the end of a field.
left parenthesis ("(")left brace ([)Parentheses are used to quote elements which may contain reserved characters.
right parenthesis (")")right brace (])

If these characters are not mapped, messages are not sent correctly through the GroupWise API gateway.
