Works: Shortcut Menu Appears When You Press Right Bracket Key in Database (277022)

When you press the RIGHT BRACKET (]) key while you type data into a
Microsoft Works database, a shortcut menu appears in the upper-left corner
of the database window.
The shortcut menu that appears is specific to the database view that is
displayed on the screen.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:
- Press ESC, and the closing square bracket character appears on
the screen immediately to the left of the insertion point.
- Use your pointing device to click anywhere in the database
window (except on the shortcut menu), and the closing square
bracket character appears on the screen immediately to the
left of the insertion point.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
