BizTalk Server Uses GMT for SentAt and ExpiresAt Tags Instead of Local Time (276932)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000

This article was previously published under Q276932

SYMPTOMS

When you use a BizTalk Framework (BTF) 2.0 envelope with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000, the <sentAt> and <expiresAt> tags use Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) time instead of local time. For example:
  <prop:sentAt>2000-10-09T08:00:23+00:00</prop:sentAt>
  <prop:expiresAt>2000-10-09T08:40:23+00:00</prop:expiresAt>

STATUS

This behavior is by design. It does not cause a problem and is compliant with the BTF 2.0 specification.
