CAUSE
This behavior occurs because some Internet e-mail servers create Internet e-mail headers that do not conform to the RFC 822 specifications that define Internet standards for recording date and time zone information. As a result, Outlook does not process the received date.
To view the received date format for an Internet e-mail message, open the message, click the
View menu, and then click
Options. In the
Internet Headers text box, locate the
Received field that includes the received date stamp.
The proper format for the date is:
day-of-week day month year hour zone
The day-of-week is optional.
