Portuguese Windows 98 System Tray Icon Does Not Stop PC Card (276586)

When you double-click or right-click the PC Card icon in the system tray (on the right side of the taskbar), the icon does not work as you expect.
CAUSE
There is a problem in the localization of this function in the Portuguese versions of Windows 98 and Windows 98 Second Edition.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use either of the following methods:
- Click the PC Card icon once to stop the PC Card.
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, double-click PC Card (PCMCIA), and choose the settings you want, including removing the icon from the system tray.

Typically, when you insert a PC Card in the PC Card slot, an icon appears in the system tray. When you double-click this icon, the PC Card tool from Control Panel is displayed. You can then stop the card so that you can remove it. Right-clicking the icon opens the PC Card properties so that you can adjust the settings or remove the icon from the system tray. A third function is to click the icon once, after which you can stop the PC Card.
