SUMMARY
On a Windows 2000-based or a Windows 2000 Advanced Server-based server that is running Terminal Services, the following error may be reported in the system event log:

To gather more information about this error, view the whole error in the event viewer and pay special attention to the data section at the bottom of the error. In the Data section of the event, set the data to show as "Words" and check the last word in the message.
The data section should look like this:
Reference the last word in the message against the list below. For example, for the preceding data section, check for the word: 000005be or 0x5be.

0x5be (or 0x5D6 if SP2 is installed)
Issue: In almost all cases, when this event is logged the event is harmless. The event occurs because a name change event was generated after the printer was deleted. If this is the case, no action is required, and redirected printing should continue to function normally.
The one instance where a 0x5be (or 0x5D6 if SP2 is installed) will be logged and redirected printing will be affected is when you are using the Citrix Metaframe add-on. ICA clients that connect with unknown printer drivers will also generate an 1103 0x5be (or 0x5D6 if SP2 is installed). This error can be caused by a failure in communications between the user-mode component and Rdpdr.sys. This error may result in printer redirection being disabled for the associated session. The user should log off and on again. If this does not resolve the problem, Terminal Services should be uninstalled and reinstalled.

This problem occurs because the Terminal Services Device Redirector did not install properly. To resolve this issue, uninstall and reinstall Terminal Services.
0x384
This error indicates that the program desktop in the user-mode component was not set up correctly. This error may result in printer redirection being disabled for the associated session. The user should log off and on again. If this does not resolve the problem, Terminal Services should be uninstalled and reinstalled.
0x394
This error occurs when the IOCTL buffer cannot be resized. This error may result in printer redirection being disabled for the associated session. The user should log off and on again. If this does not resolve the problem, Terminal Services should be uninstalled and reinstalled.
