XADM: Unable to Add or Remove E-mail Addresses on Recipient Policies (276526)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q276526 SYMPTOMS When you attempt to add another e-mail address to or remove
an existing e-mail address from an existing recipient policy, the New and Remove buttons may be unavailable (dimmed), which prevents you from
adding or removing e-mail addresses. WORKAROUND The New and Remove buttons on the E-Mail Addresses tab are not available the first time that you gain access to this
tab. To work around this issue, you must first click another tab (such as the Details tab), and then return to the E-mail Addresses tab to make these buttons available.
Note This issue can also occur after an Exchange organization has been
switched to native mode. In this situation, select the recipient policy that
needs to be edited, and then change the priority to a value by using the Move Down button. This action makes the buttons available in this
situation.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that
this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
MORE INFORMATION This issue only affects recipient policies that are
imported from a Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5 organization. Any new
recipient policies that you define by using Exchange System Manager do not
exhibit this behavior.
