SYMPTOMS

When you use the Commerce Server 2000 or 2002 Direct Mail command-line utility DMLRUN to delete jobs, it is does not display the deleted jobs. After you run the following command:

dmlrun /del_old:#

where "#" represents the maximum age of completed jobs to delete, you receive the "The command has been successfully completed" message. However, the command does not indicate which job(s) are deleted.

CAUSE

This is by design. After you run the dmlrun /del_old:# command, the jobs cannot be recovered.

RESOLUTION

Before and after you run the dmlrun /del_old:# command, you must run the dmlrun /list command and take note of the completed jobs that you wish to delete.
