Internet Explorer May Not Open a Small Document (276436)

When you attempt to open a small document (such as a Microsoft Office document or a .pdf file) in Internet Explorer 5.01 or Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you may receive the following error message:
The page cannot be displayed.
If you click Refresh, the document is displayed correctly.
CAUSE
This problem can occur under the following conditions:
- If the document is sent to the browser and the document includes the Content-Type or Content-Length headers. This is done by either using Active Server Pages (ASP) (Response.BinaryWrite), an Internet Server Application Programming Interface (ISAPI) extension, or a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) script.
- If the document is relatively small in size.
- If the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that is requested is a long URL (more than 255 characters).
