HTML Source Code Is Viewable in Business Desk Development Mode (276308)

SYMPTOMS

Although you can view HTML source code in Business Desk Development mode, the Commerce Server Business Desk does not permit you to view the HTML source code in Production mode.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

When you view the source code for user property HTML pages while in Development mode, user passwords appear in clear text. Also, if you use a program to view HTML source code, some pieces of the Users module, (such as creating or changing a user) permit you to view a user's password in clear text.
