PPT2002: Cannot Install Add-ins (276285)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to add an add-in to Microsoft PowerPoint, the add-in may not be loaded or may not appear in the list of add-ins.

CAUSE

By default, PowerPoint sets the Security Level setting to High, which does not allow you to install add-ins.

RESOLUTION

To install an add-in, change the Security Level setting to Medium. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Security.
  2. On the Security Level tab, click Medium.
  3. Click OK.
