Cannot Administer Multiple Commerce Servers from a Single Server (276275)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Commerce Server 2002
  • Microsoft Commerce Server 2000

This article was previously published under Q276275

SYMPTOMS

You can only administer a single Commerce Server 2000 installation in the Commerce Server Manager. You cannot add multiple Commerce Server Manager snap-ins that connect to multiple servers.

CAUSE

The Commerce Server Manager stores its connection information in the registry. Therefore, when you create a new Microsoft Management Console (MMC) instance, it will also connect to the same server.
