Combat Flight Simulator 2: Sounds Are Not Played in Training Missions (275663)

SYMPTOMS

When you fly a Training Mission in Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2, none of the sounds may be played.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Combat Flight Simulator Disc 2 CD-ROM is not inserted in your CD-ROM drive, and either of the following conditions is true:
  • You installed Combat Flight Simulator 2 with the Typical installation option.
  • You installed Combat Flight Simulator 2 with the Custom installation option, and then clicked to clear the Training Mission Media check box.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, end the Training Mission, insert the Combat Flight Simulator 2 Disc 2 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive, and then restart the Training Mission.

To do this:
  1. Press CTRL+U to end the Training Mission.
  2. Insert the Combat Flight Simulator 2 Disc 2 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
  3. Restart the Training Mission.
