Commerce Server Site Packager Does Not Perform a Verification Check (274839)

SYMPTOMS

When you double-click a file with a .pup extension, the Commerce Server Packager starts, but the following error message is returned, regardless of whether the Quick unpackage or Custom unpackage option is selected:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Commerce Server\PuP Packages\Business.pup is an invalid path. Please try again.

CAUSE

The Commerce Server Site Packager does not verify whether a file is a valid Commerce Server Package.

RESOLUTION

Verify that the .pup file is a valid Commerce Server Package.
