Encarta 2001: Find Box Is Not Displayed on Home Screen (274788)

SYMPTOMS

The "Using the Special Features of the DVD-ROM version" section of the Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001 "Getting Started" manual contains a screen shot that displays a Find box on the left margin of the Encarta Reference Suite 2001 home screen.

However, a Find box is not displayed on the Encarta Reference Suite 2001 home screen.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, start one of the Encarta Reference Suite 2001 programs. The Find box (and the Pinpointer) are displayed on the left margin of the screen as expected.
