XADM: Information Store Cannot Tune the Number of Store RPC Threads (274766)

The Exchange 2000 Server Information Store service may not be able to tune the number of remote procedure call (RPC) threads that the information store uses.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because although the information store reads the number of RPC threads allowed when a virtual server is started, these numbers are first created when the RPC Server service is started. The RPC Server service is started before the information store, therefore the information store picks up the RPC server default values of 5 (for the min rpc threads value) and 20 (for the max rpc threads value).

STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 1.MORE INFORMATION
The fix in the "Resolution" section of this article changes the information store so that the information store obtains RPC thread values from the values that are set in the Directory service.
