OL2000: The Table View for Today Includes Recurring Appointments (274679)

When you use a table view to filter items for "Today," the result includes all recurring appointments, even if the appointments do not occur for "Today."
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the recurring appointment information is stored in a binary property and MAPI restrictions are not run on this binary property.
RESOLUTION
The only fix for this problem would be to redesign the way recurring appointments work, which would not be backwards compatible.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
