SUMMARY

You cannot upgrade from Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1.0 or 2.0 to Combat Flight Simulator 3.

MORE INFORMATION

Each version of Combat Flight Simulator is a different program, not an upgrade to a previous version.

You can import missions from Combat Flight Simulator to Combat Flight Simulator 2.

You cannot import missions from previous versions of Combat Flight Simulator into Combat Flight Simulator 3.0. The new graphics engine prevents the use of imported planes from previous versions of Combat Flight Simulator.

Flight Simulator 2002 and Combat Flight Simulator 3 will work with the discreet® gmax 3-D modeling tool for add-on aircraft development. For more information on the GMax tool and add-on development, visit the following Microsoft Web site: You must separately install each version of Combat Flight Simulator.

If you installed one version of Combat Flight Simulator into the folder of another version, you must first remove both versions. Next, delete the folder in which they were installed, and then reinstall each separately in its own unique folder.
