Crimson Skies: Game Quits to End Menu with ATI Rage 128 Video Adapter Installed (274572)

SYMPTOMS

When you fly an Instant Action mission in Microsoft Crimson Skies, you may unexpectedly exit the mission after a few seconds of flight.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if an ATI Rage 128 video adapter is installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reduce the sound quality in the game:
  1. On the Main Menu screen in Crimson Skies, click Preferences.
  2. Click Audio.
  3. In the Sound Quality box, click Low.
  4. Click Accept Changes.
  5. Click Return To Main Menu.
