This article was previously published under Q274452

SUMMARY

When you encrypt a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)-formatted message with Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) 6.5.8, the decrypted HTML-formatted message does not display.

MORE INFORMATION

Outlook transfers HTM-formatted messages through e-mail messages. To send an HTML-formatted message, start the Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) while Outlook is running in online mode. Locate the Web site that you want to send, click the Mail icon, and then click Send Page.

After you send the encrypted HTML-formatted message, it is received and decrypted, and following message is displayed:

*** PGP Signature Status: good
*** Signer: Firstname Lastname (alias@domain.com)
*** Signed: 9/21/2000 10:40:15 AM
*** Verified: 9/21/2000 10:40:34 AM
*** BEGIN PGP DECRYPTED/VERIFIED MESSAGE ***

*** END PGP DECRYPTED/VERIFIED MESSAGE ***

Only the PGP information displays in the message body.
